Mac Mini CPU core temperature

The temperature of the CPU Core 0 and CPU Core 1 go up to almost 90 C when I am watching a movie on Popcorn Time.

Yesterday I was watching a movie that I downloaded the temperature went to 85 C.

Now I am using Macs Fan Control to keep it cool, but that is not how it is supposed to go.

No other programs were running at this time. What is the problem?

Forgive my bad English.

This is my Mac:

Mac mini (latest 2014)

OS Yosemite 10.10.3

2,6 GHz Intel Core i5

8GB 1600 MHz DDR

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

If you feel qualified to answer your own question, then why ask it? Trust me I know the boiling point of water both in Fahrenheit and Celsius. The GPU hasn't hit its maximum because if it does then it shuts down the computer. Games and video watching are two of the worst types of applications for putting heavy loads on the CPU and/or GPU. So, those temps are not abnormal, they are just high.

The Intel i5 and i7 processors be they dual or quad core can operate

up to a die temperature of 105C for the mobile processors (basically what

is in the Mini). The processor also has internal logic circuitry so that if

the temperature goes beyond this point, it can throttle back various clocks as needed

to help keep temperature down.

See spec sheet (around page 51):
