iPod touch 5 keeps asking for password

Hi, my touch5 repeatedly asks me for my Apple ID password without relent. I hit cancel, I enter it, anything, it just keeps immediately bringing up another password prompt. I just moved, so it hasn't signed into my new wireless, so I can't access the password reset option via safari, although it doesn't seem to be that as even if I enter it and it gives me no "incorrect password" error it brings the prompt up yet again.. It has rendered my device useless. Has anyone had this problem?
