How do I save contacts before deleting an Exchange account on iPhone 5?

If the only place you have access to them is on your phone, and the account has already been de-activated by your employer, then you will have to purchase 3rd party software to transfer them to something else. Exchange contacts are "owned" by the server (for lack of a better term).
The contacts are saved on my pc...can you recommend any software to get the contacts back on the phone after I delete the account?
You can sync them from a local address book stored in MS Outlook to your phone via iTunes, or you can sync them to iCloud using the iCloud Control Panel for Windows if you're running Windows 7 or higher.
They must be stored locally. If the only reason they're on your PC is because they have been synced to Outlook from your Exchange server, you must export them, then re-import them as local contacts.
