Screen goes black when computers off?

Hi guys,

Not sure how long it's been happening, but occasionally i've noticed that when my computer (retina, 13 inch, mid 2014) is turned off the screen goes dark?

If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated!

When my MBP's are off, the display is dark. I see no problem because that is normal.

Does your tv screen go dark when you turn off the tv? If the computer power is off the screen can not remain on.
