What with firmware for imac 8,1 ? I don't see this "gem" in list on this page.

There is no firmware upgrade for that model as far as I can tell.

If there is no update on that list for your model, then the version you have is the current one.

All listed iMacs (8,1) had no firmware update. All use the EFI extensible firmware. Information is from the MacTracker application database.

The only thing that I can find for your model was a Graphics Firmware Update.
see > iMac (early 2008) ATI Radeon HD Graphics Firmware Update 1.0.1

Try downloading and installing that... If it reports back that you do not need it, then you do not need it.
