My 5th gen iPod touch isn't sending me notifications, and I don't know how to fix it. Can anyone help me out here?

Basically, I wan tmy notifications to work.

iPod touch, iOS 8.1.1

Update IOS to 8.3.

Check Settings > Notifications > here
