Custom regional fonts does not appear on Safari

Hi,

I have installed custom font "ORBW-TTMukta EN" font using apple configurator. Profile is successfully Installed.

When I am trying to open regional site with dropdown values which does not show up in regional language on Safari.

Refer following website:

bhulekh.ori.nic.in

In left hand panel location dropdown values only appeared when we installed above mentioned font on the PC.

How to fix this error? Is there any wayout?

Please help.

It looks like your font is a custom non-Unicode version which maps an Indic language to Latin, and has a "user-defined" encoding. This is 1990's technology and normally not supported by Apple systems any more. Instead such websites need to use Unicode and have a charset of UTF-8 to be displayed on OS X or iOS.

Certainly not with Safari. You might try other browsers to see if they will let you set a custom font. There used to be a special webpage that translated such non-unicode indic websites into unicode, but it seems to have disappeared.
