Clean install but no dvd drive

What the best way to wipe my old macbookpro (2007)and do a clean install? I have the Snow Leopard Dvd's but my drive is no longer working on the mac.

It's sluggish and I rarely ever use it anymore and am thinking of giving it to a family member but I want everything wiped off of it and fresh. Even if I don't pass it along, it's still good for browsing and other little tasks.
