what is the best way to run MS office on my mac.

I want to run office software on my MAC to access excel spreadsheets, etc. I have tried numbers, I don't like it

The "best" way depends on your needs. Office 2011 Mac is available. does not quite measure up to the features of Office 2013 for Windows, but it may meet your needs.

You could install Windows using either boot camp or virtualization software and run the Windows version of Office there.

Microsoft offers free web-based versions of Office at office.com. Those may meet your needs and of course, the price is right.
