The Fritz is a universal type repeater so it might work. There are no guarantees with this kind of setup.
The Apple router will be setup to create a wireless network.
Apple does not have a WPS button but they do have WPS available by the airport utility to aid with printer installs.. use first attempt and press the WPS button on the Fritz.. it may or may not work.. I have never tested them.
If you cannot achieve what you want.. the Fritz instructions say it can be used as AP.. so wire it by ethernet or EOP adapters back to the airport.. that is always far superior method cf wireless repeater.
Note apple use extend wireless for this function but it is proprietary .. no other brand will work.
