Delete Files from device after importing option not working

Hello Everyone,

I have the iPhone 6 plus. I am using windows 8.1. I am having a problem where after I import my photos-videos they are still not being deleted off my iPhone.

I plug the iPhone into my computer via USB. Then in the file explorer I right click on the icon and select import pictures and videos. The dialog window opens and setup the options etc. and the main option is delete files from device after importing. It imports wonderfully, but just doesn't delete the files off the phone.

Is there a bug or another option I should be aware of? Any point of contact I can reach if no advice here? Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
