google maps has wrong location

I'm trying to locate a biz w/i 50 miles of my location that I'm reading about online.

Googlemaps comes up from the website I'm reading and has my location as Louisville, NY, which is a couple of states way from me.

The location of the business is most likely correct. It is 30 +- miles from my actual location.

Why is google "thinking" I'm in another state and city? How can I fix this. I see no apparent way to do so.

My only guess is that someone is using my computer who should not be.

Beyond that, I've no ideas. That one is enough to worry me, btw.

I'm using MacBook Air. Safari 6.2.6 (8537.85.15.3)

Mac OSX 10.8.5

Proc. 1.3 GHZ Intel Core 15

4 GB, 1600 MHZ DDR3

Appreciate any suggestions.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.11)
