I have a macbook pro with a 15.4-inch (1680 x 1050) display. I have suddenly noticed an 1/8th inch shadow around the entire edge of the screen and the mouse does not work within that shadow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've just resolved mine jlv88.
It's to do with a feature called expose which is on.
Go to Utilities, Activity Monitor, find Process called Dock and force quit. Everything returns to normal.
Thanks for the reply, but mine went away by itself just the other day...but I will keep your fix in mind just in case....
