Ok, so I got my phone as a gift from my cousin who works in Japan.
Its serial number is elligible for the replacement.
My question is, will apple center here in the Philippines replace my Iphone5?

Warranty is valid only in country of original purchase. Send the iPhone
back to your cousin in Japan for him to take into Apple Japan. He can send
it back to you after Apple Japan finished with it. Shipping and insurance both
ways will be your responsibility.
Be advised that if your iPhone was hacked or otherwise modified to use your
wireless provider in the Philippines rather than the wireless provider to which
it was locked in Japan, Apple will not replace or repair the iPhone.
