Copying Messages from Mac to iPhone

I recently accidentally deleted messages from my iPhone that I had not yet backed up. However my Messages app (on my Mac) is on the same iMessage account as my phone, and thus has all the messages I would like to get back. Is it possible to sync the Messages from my Mac back onto my phone without some sort of iPhone backup?
