Q: my iCloud pictures are not loading into Photos

help! The pictures from my phone are loaded into iCloud, but not to my desktop Mac. Feel like I have tried so many things and changed so many options and restarted etc. No pics! Yes, iCloud library is turned on in my Photos preferences. (which btw - I prefer iPhoto too!)

thanks for any help! Need my daughter's Pre-K graduation pics to load!

iPhone 5s, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

hs your mac finished the initial upload to iCloud Photo Library? Nothing is downloaded until it completes the initial upload

iCloud has ALL of photos on there! But Photos does not have any after May 10.....

Yes -- or no ??

In the Photos references what does it say about iCloud Photo Library and uploading?

okay, in the Preferences, it says uploading 5,865 items..... is that the problem?!?! How do I make this go faster?!?! Hasn't finished in a month!

Yes

third time

Nothing is downloaded until it completes the initial upload
As to going faster - tricky

You can try pausing for one day, rebooting and then un-pausing - that seems to help some people
