Jun 3, 2015 11:27 AM in response to Potterycatby Russ H,Do you mean the keyer causes the application crash?
Any time the application crashes you should delete preferences. That may or may not cure it but it should be done because the crashes themselves often corrupt the files. Hold down the option and command keys when you launch FCP.

Jun 3, 2015 12:06 PM in response to Russ Hby Potterycat,Thank you for your response Russ H. I tried that just now. Unfortunately it did not solve the problem.
To answer your question; yes the keyer causes the application to crash only when I adjust anything within the "color selection" tab.
It crashes and gives me a warning: "Final Ct Pro quit unexpectedly" followed by a lot of gobbly goo.

Jun 3, 2015 1:24 PM in response to Potterycatby Tom Wolsky,Can't see why it would happen, unless there's something in the media that's odd. Can't make it happen on my rMBP.

Jun 3, 2015 2:31 PM in response to Potterycatby Russ H,Does this happen in any and all projects – with any clip? If you create a new library and make a test project with a single clip does the keyed adjustment still crash it?

Jun 18, 2015 2:14 PM in response to Potterycatby Potterycat,Russ and Tom,
I have just uploaded new clips from a different card in a new projected and decided to try it again. (I gave up messing around with it on the other project and worked around it by not using the color selection menu/options.) But with the new clips, new projects, new data it still crashes.
I don't understand it.
