ical reverts to "new event" status - Appts won't hold

Today I spoke with 5 support peeps. One said issue is with iCloud server . I told her I read in communities problem has been ongoing for some since 2013 . No response we got disconnected; Next gal support said has the same issue never bothered to check it out - next one going to send me to tech support next one finally connect with a Sr. Advisor with no time left to chat DUE TO APPOINTMENTS not listed in my ical --- So can anyone give me some idea WHAT IS GOING ON PLESE? A server issue since 2013 intermittently? What are customers of apple doing to resolve this for them selves besides reverting to pencil and paper diaries. Does anyone have a fix for this frustrating annoyance and missed important meetings/appointments? My problem only began about 30-45 days ago and is INTERMITTENT.
