Mailboxes transfer from 10.5 to 10.4

Hi All,

After a few years with 10.5.8 I decided to switch back to 10.4.11. So far the only issue I don't know how to proceed with is Mail, and in particular, transferring the locally stored mailboxes from Mail 3.6 to 2.1.3. I see all the content in the Library Mail folders, but I am not sure simple C&P will work, considering Mail indexing the content.

Any advice is such a transfer from newer to older application possible? And if it is, how should I do it?

I haven't actually tried it going backwards,but if you already have eMails in 10.4.11, try Mail>File>Import Mail Boxes>Mail for OSX,then for location choose the top Mail folder...

10.5/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/

After a bit it'll give you the choices of what to Import & will import into a new folder called Import xx.
