Iphone won't recognize Apple ID.

So I was trying to log onto my apple ID in my iphone to download an app and it won't let me. It used to work, I already downloaded other apps. I bought the Iphone in the states and here in Argentina, where I live, it stopped working, I do not know if this has any influence on it. I know the password and mail are correct since I use them on other devices and it works just fine, but on here it just won't let me. It does not say incorrect password or error, it acts as if it is going to log and stops without causing any changes. Any ideas on how to solve this????? Thank you!!!!
