Q: What do you do when you get error 9 in update/restore mode? The serial number disappears and has n/a midway through restore.

I had no problems updating my phone on Sunday. Then the screen went black again today. Now when I go to update, it will restore instead but then lose the serial number and stop, then give error (9) as the reason. None of the suggestions work. Is this related to the update I just did on my MacBook Air?
