iPod Touch 5G Podcast app crashing

The inbuilt Podcasts app on my iPod Touch 5th Gen keeps crashing...iOS 8.3.

Only solution is airplane mode, which means that I can either listen to podcasts OR do other things; not both at once.

I have tried resetting to factory defaults and re-syncing, deleting everything and starting again. All a huge waste of time.

Apple, please fix this and stop breaking things that are working just fine. Every time you try to do something 'clever', the user experience suffers greatly.

When is this going to be fixed? Using your own mantra, this should 'just work'.
