I put hotspot VPN into my settings but it won't turn off

So a few days ago a friend told me about the app HotspotVPN. In order for this app to work you have to insall it in settings. I then decided to delete the app but I cannot turn off/delete VPN from my settings. It constantly shows up where my wifi is (next to it). It also stops/slows my internet connection down.
