how does one syncronize a nano 7 with a PC

I have many mp3 files on my PC which are what I want to listen to. I'm not interested in acquiring music from iTunes. I've tried to follow the instructions on P 16 of j the manual without success. I go to the iTunes page that seems to be associated with the nano, but can't find the precise words to click on per those instructions.

Please, any suggestions?
