Disabled iPhone 5S never backed up

My daughter forgot her passcode and got herself locked out of her 5s (iOS8.3). We do have a TouchID set up, but it had been more than 48 hours since she used it. She has never backed up or plugged into iTunes. She and I are both on one apple ID if that helps. Obviously, we'd like to find a way to get back into her phone without losing everything if possible. I plugged it into iTunes and it says "iPhone could not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a passcord. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."
