Thanks Stedman1,

Greatly appreciate it. I called the # that showed up on the screen and they guy asked my apple ID and then scared me off that it's a virus in my I-Pad and will cost $60 to get it fixed.

I told him that I just purchased this and it's within 14 days return-exchange policy and he started letting me know if I go back to store they will not take it back and it will cost me $110 to get this error removed. He said he is working from an Apple call centre in Australia.

Just came online and tried the steps you mentioned and got rid of the error.

Thanks very much for your help.

If you do not want to delete your Safari history you can just switch to "Airplane Mode" and reboot the device. Then go back into Safari and then close the page when it errors out. Then you can turn off Airplane mode and keep using it. That's what I did on my wife's phone this morning.

I'm going to state the obvious: If it's too good to be true or it does not end with .com or .net don't click on it. I'm not saying that those domain suffixes are immune either, it's just less likely in my opinion. It is a scam, and criminal that people can do this. But, then again, just like everything, the more laws that get passed, the less freedoms we have. Laws cannot stop crime, and engineered events to create laws to take away civil freedoms are the most criminal in my opinion.

Just like the inside job of the Sony hack last year. What happened? More executive orders that bypass the will of the people and Congress. I wish I could make executive orders that become law the next morning, without any debate or oversight (I really don't - I'm just stating that power can be abused). Even with the best of intent, legislators are not always the best subject experts for creating laws about technology that they do not fully understand. Would you want your heart operated on by your mechanic for example? We need to get more involved in helping protect our civil liberties, by helping our appointed representatives when laws are considered. Today it has never been easier. All you have to do is google them for your area.
