Q: "Service Battery" After 145 Cycles?
(Mid-2011 MacBook Air) I got the "Service Battery ⚠" warning on my battery menu. Apple claims the battery should retain 80% of its charging capacity until ~1000 cycles.

To keep battery health, you have to use it periodically.
In this case it seems that Mac was always connected to the power outlet.
Battery needs "exercise" to keep itself healthy.
Reset SMC.
Choose the method for “On Mac notebooks with non-removable battery”.

If this doesn't help, there is no choice but replace the battery.

Best.
