wireless keyboard not connecting to macbookair

My Macbook Air is not recognizing my apple wireless keyboard. This keyboard is paired to my Macbook pro and works with it, but I can't pair it to my new Macbook Air. Any suggestions?

PS. I know the batteries are fully charged
