Can I update without turning off find my iPhone option?

I Have an iPhone and i will like to update it urgently but find my iPhone is turned on on the device and I can't remember the password.

I Want to know if I can update without turning off find my iphone option on the phone. Will i be prompted to activate my iPhone after updating it? Pls help
