I've recently bought a Philips 288P6LJEB to connect to my iMac Late 2013 running 10.10.3.
According to this document it should be able to run at 60 Hz. But I'm only able to het a max. of 30 Hz. I'm using a mini displayport to displayport cable (1.2) and I have 1.2 enabled in the monitor settings.
Is there anyone out there who got this figured out?

it's not just the monitor which set the hz being used the video chip of the computer has a much a say
if the imac support 60hz when running it in a lower res and or when connecting other displays then
I would say the video card of the imac is just not cable of handling it

Thank you for your answer, but I disagree. Apple described in the document the videocard of this iMac IS capable of supporting 60 Hz.

Same Problem with a 4k ASUS Monitor...
Same issue with the same monitor. I've tried just about every combination of settings on the monitor, and option-selected Scaled on the Display system prefs, and it still doesn't give me the option for 4k resolution with a displayport cable. Anyone have any insight on this?
