Q: MacBook Pro will not power up even when plugged in
Hi beans.
My MacBook Pro is dead.
At first I thought it was the charger, so got a brand spanker from Apple. This did not work.
There is power getting through the charger as the indicator light glows (albeit very faintly) green but it is not powering the MacBook, nor is it charging the battery.
Could the battery need replacing, should the MacBook still work even with a dead battery, or could it be something more troublesome?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yep, that done it! I looked for the SMC reset thing before but it was different to this one, thanks.
Now to get it to charge up! All I have is a big "X" in the battery display .
