Q: Moving music from MacBook to iPod
I can't believe it is so hard to see what music I have on my iPod and move other music over so I must be doing something wrong.
iTunes 12.1.2 by the way.
I can see all my iTunes music on my Mac, albums listed down the left hand side, details of the album in middle.
First problem -
Now I want to know if an album I've selected is on the iPod or not... I click on iPod but all I get is an ugly list of everything on the iPod
Is there no ordered way to see this? I feel as it I've clicked everything I can find.
BTW I can't access the interface on the iPod because, well, its connected.
Second problem, I can't browse whats on both an move stuff over that isn't there. I need to look down my Mac music, see something "O, I don't think I have any Muddy Waters on the iPod" switch to iPod, check its not there, switch back to Mac view, click on album and add to playlist iPod.
I have quite a lot of music and its a big mental exercise to remember all the albums (just by one artist), check them and then send the ones I don't have over.
So: what is the correct way of browsing the music on the iPod and moving music across?
(It seems to change everytime I come into iTunes, that maybe because it updates a lot).
MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
