    Thanks yes that worked

I would like to make my laptop the main computer for my iTunes, how do I do this.  I have switched on home sharing but have to have my desk top (old computer) switched on and logged in to be able to access my iTunes on my laptop.  I want to get rid of my old computer.

Did you copy all your user data from old computer to new computer?

For iTunes, copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer.
