If I want to sync my iPod with a new computer iTunes says something like "this iPod is synced by another computer and the number of recognized computers by your iPod is 2/3 etc. You can have at most 5 recognized computers". Suppose now I want to sync my iPod with a sixth computer. Can I remove my old computer?

- Yes, you can switch computers. To switch you have to restore the iPod on that computer every time you switch

iTunes: Restoring iOS software

- Note that you are limited to as to the number of computers you can authorize for one ID for but can deauthorize computer is you have access to them

iTunes Store: Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC

- Also yo are limited to the number of devices yo can associate with one ID

iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
