Q: ipod keeps telling me name of song and the titles of all my play list over and over

New ipod keeps telling me the name and of artist of the song that is playing on my ipod over and over.  Also will go through the titles of all my playlist.  Thought it was because my ipod was old.  bought a new one needlessly and have the same problem with the first use.
