Q: How do I delete a minor in family share?

I have maxed my family share and I have a minor account that I created in error.  I need to delete it so that I can add another child.  How would that best be done?

    Hey MacManimus,

The answer to your question (How to remove an account from Family Sharing?) depends on the the "age" for the account you created in error. Accounts for children under 13 years of age may not be removed from a family group, though they can be transferred to a different family group. See this article -

Leave Family Sharing - Apple Support

    Specifically -

Can I remove someone from a family group?

The family organizer can remove anyone over 13 from the family group at any time.

In iOS 8 or later, tap Settings > iCloud > Family, tap the name of the family member you want to remove, then tap Remove.

In OS X Yosemite, go to Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud > Manage Family, click the name of the family member you want to remove, then click the Remove (-) button in the bottom-left corner.

Children under 13 can't be removed from a family. If you need to, you can transfer the child to another family or delete their Apple ID.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Happy computing,
