Aperture photo library

I've migrated from my Aperture photo library to the new Photos library. What are the considerations regarding now deleting the Aperture library?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

The migrated Aperture Library and the new Photos Library are sharing the original image files using hard links. You would not gain much free storage by deleting the Aperture Library. So there would be no point in deleting it.

See: Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries - Apple Support

Also, you may want to be able to compare the new library to the previous Aperture version, because not all items can be migrated exactly as in the original library, for example the products or projects. See this Support document:

leone, since there are hard links between the two librarys, can you ever delete the Aperture library?

Yes, you can delete the Aperture Library, no problem. Hard links are very different from referenced file. A hard link is a new file, not just a reference to the original. It will still work, if you delete the original file. A hard link saves space by using the same entry (inode) in the file table, so both files are stored on the same blocks on the disk and don't need additional storage. The storage will only be released, after both files have been deleted that are using these blocks.
