convert mp4 or mv4

I have a slide show created in photo which I have exported to my desktop in a mv4 format I want to convert into the file type that will play on a tv. I have used handbrake to convert it to a mp4 but need to get the correct file type and burn it to a DVD

Thanks for the help

You need and app that will "author" the DVD, and that will do the work you need. If you have iDVD then that's the app you use. However, iDVD is no longer developed or distributed by Apple. You may be able to get it on an old iLIfe install disk.

Other options:

Burn: http://macupdate.com/app/mac/21992/burn

Toast: http://macupdate.com/app/mac/6351/toast-titanium

But there are lots of others too. Search on the App Store or MacUpdate

With Toast Titanium you need to select the Video-DVD option. That will create a video DVD that can be played on a DVD player on a TV set.

Add the video(s) you want to burn and select a theme.

Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:

Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.

To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.

Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
