How do I get pictures that are synced to my ipod touch from my computer, off of my touch again?

I have a 5th generation iPod touch. How do I remove pictures from it that I have synced from my computer? I already tried hooking it up to my computer again and looking under its DCIM in documents, but they weren't there. The iPod doesn't let me select and delete them in photos ether.
