I have noticed that after an initial good sync between my iphone photos app and MBP photos app, that new photos taken with the iphone no longer upload and show up in my MBP Photos app.
On the iPhone, in the settings/iCloud/photos page, just under the "iCloud Photo Library" toggle, there is text that keeps rotating between:
"Uploading 326 Items - Downloading 23 Videos" and
"326 itmes to Upload - 23 Videos to Download"
The photo count used to be the same on the iPhone and the MBP photos app. Now they are off (and not by a factor of 326).
I have cycled the iPhone on/off. I have rebooted the MBP. I have rebuilt the photo library on the MBP. The iOS is 8.3, the Yosemite is 10.10.3.
I have plenty of disk space on both devices. I upgraded my icloud online storage quite some time ago in preparation for the new Photos app.
If I create a shared album on in Photos app and drag photos in or out on my iPhone to the new shared folder, the photos will show up/sync on the MBP Photos app.
