Q: synching contacts

I have a new iPad that I want to sync contacts and calendars with my computer and iPhone. Syncing between the iPhone and computer is no problem.But I follow the steps outlined for syncing the iPad and I get nothing- no calendar or contacts. I have the latest updates on all devices.
