Is anyone else having problems accessing Yahoo email through their IMac's IOS system? I can access mail directly from Yahoo, but not through my Mac's IOS.

i had this problem till just now. the problem is yahoo updated its securety and less secure app like the ios mail app need permission if you have recently been notified by yahoo to change your password. heres is what you do:
1. log into your yahoo acct.
2. mouse over your name plate when the pop up menu appears click "account info"
3. on the account info page click on the account security tab.
4. scroll down to see "Allow apps that use less secure sign in" option and turn it on it should change blue.
5. go ahead into the ios mail app or into mail setting and add your accounts if you have deleted them and log in like normal. you should be all set.
this has solved my issue on my Iphone4
I couldn't receive or send messages from my Macbook Pro. After consulting with four different Apple professionals, one via phone and three in shop, it was determined that my computer's older parts and Yahoo's newer and more secure set-up would no longer mesh. I could change my email address or work completely on the Chrome system. I didn't want to change my email since I regularly communicate with many people in a non-profit organization and didn't want to confuse anyone. Chrome did not allow me to use the many conveniences that Outlook had,especially the group emailsystem. I was able to buy an Imac and continue my Yahoo email account on this computer. I would like to thank anyone who tried to help me with this problem. It's been two years now, though, and I've moved on.
I am still having this issue where I am getting "kicked" out of all my mail accounts even after I've done all the above recommended. Any other ideas? It's so frustrating having to re- enter my passwords every few hours.
I have been unable to access my Yahoo account for an entire week. I added it through setting, nothing. I deleted the account and tried to add it back still nothing. Not to mention I've done this everyday 3-4 times a day. I even downloaded the Yahoo app and it won't work from there either. But if I go through Safari and log in I can access my account. Which is way to time consuming. What's the problem?
Try checking the Yahoo e-mail site for a sign on using less secure option.

I have spent the best part of the day - precious quality time in our post-Trump world - trying to connect to Yahoo mail through Mail on MacBook pro. I have refreshed password, its working on iPad and iPhone but not Mac. Have deleted the account, restarted, added account but same response "Trying to log in.. failed. Verify username and password..."
Thank you. I was having this issue too for months. Got e mail on my phone, but not my mac. Read about less secure options, adjusted it and now it's up and running on my mac. 🙂

yes I am having same issue. Unable to update my emails. I can do everything else, search Goggle, send an email,etc????
Do you have two-step authentication turned on? That requires an app specific password.
