My screen has lifted on the left side, just the left side, everything else is fine.
The phone lives in a Mophie case and has never been dropped and is definitely not bent, I placed the phone on a flat surface to check.
Any thoughts on what might have caused this? Has anyone else experienced this issue?

If you just hand me the phone so I can inspect it, maybe I could say. What did Apple tell you when you brought it to them?

I am of course hoping that other iPhone 5 owners have experienced screen lifting and there is a 'known' cause.
It's not.
Unfortunately the screen is not sitting flat on the left side. I have booked to see Apple Genius, so I will advise after that.
So, I visited the Apple Store and had a chat with a nice Apple Genius. My screen was lifting on the left hand side and the cause, a 'blown battery'. The resolution was an immediate replacement of the phone.
So do be careful. If you screen starts to lift, get it to Apple.
