How do I remove my apple id from an unkown family sharing plan?

My wife recently established "Family Sharing." My daughter and son were able to join. However, I am unable to join because my apple id is apparently associated with some other family... There is no obvious way for me to (a) determine what family my apple id is associated with or (b) how to dis-associate my id from that other family.
