How can I make print darker
I just upgraded to 10.6.5. My mail looks messy and the type is very pale.
The blue dots are on messages whether they have been read or not.
New messages come in at both the top and bottom of page

Do you mean 10.6.8?
You may want to reinstall 10.6.8 again as you Mail appears to be corrupted.
Or you could try a Time Machine restore of your Mail folder from before the time of the upgrade. The folder is in Users/Home folder/Library.
