Q: Power mac g5 wont start, hardware issue?

Hi,

I got an old Power Mac G5 dual 1.8 DP for cheap. It would not start and it also comes with an Apple Display, that directly connects to the video card.

When I turn it on, I see a white power light briefly. The fan run smoothly and thats all that happens. After a while, the fan starts to spin up and I get two white LED flashes. There is no chime and nothing on the screen.

I have to hold power for 5 seconds to turn it off again.

What I tried so far:

- Reset the SMU with the reset button on the board

- Replace the NRAM battery with a new one

- Press Option P+R when starting

- Hold left mouse button when starting

- Turning on the Mac with NVRAM battery, then put it in. Turn it off again. After that I turned in on again and I got a chime. But thats all. Turned it with a short press off again and again it was stuck. No chime. I was able to repeat that twice.

- Reseated GFX Card

- Reseated RAMS

- Started without our, just one RAM.

- Cleaned it with compressed air.

I am still stuck where I started. Any suggestions what else I can try?
