Iphone 6 experiencing "call failed" on vodafone network

Hi All,

I am using Iphone 6 on vodafone network and have been experiencing a lot of call drops lately. When i try to call up someone, the call drops off before even connecting or sometimes it drops in middle of a call and i get a pop up saying "Call Failed" post which it returns to home screen. I have also received multiple complaints from people who try to call me up that they dont hear any ringtone and are unable to reach me on multiple occasion.

I have replaced my vodafone nano sim thinking that the sim could be the culprit here but unfortunately the problem still exists.

I am now assuming it to be some serious issue with the Apple hardware so don't know how to proceed with contacting Apple and reporting this.

I purchased the phone in December from one of the retail store in India.

Can someone please help me?

Hi Joe,

The issue seemed to have been resolved now. I switched to Vodafone 2G from 3G and now everything is back to normal. But i don't think i can use 2G for long because of its poor internet speed. But again, if 3G is causing the issue of call drops then what could be the exact conflict while using it with iPhone? Others nearby my locality seem to have no issue using the 3G services.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are experiencing some network issues using your iPhone that consist of dropped and failed calls, both incoming and outgoing. I know you have already completed some good troubleshooting on your own, including replacing the SIM card.

To continue troubleshooting, I would suggest reading over and working through the information located in the attached article below. Please make sure all steps have been completed and the issue has been tested.

Hi Manish ,

Even i am facing the same issue with my Iphone 6s in Greater Noida . The issue is mostly near my home , where 3G signal strength of Airtel is weak .

So i have switched to Airtel 2G to when i am at my home . When i tried in a few different places in Noida and Delhi , the phone has worked fine till now .

Apple tech support please let us know the reason for conflict .

Hi,

I am also facing the same issue of incoming calls getting dropped after first ring on iPhone 6s, The caller on the other end gets a busy tone. Done all the troubleshooting and problem still persists. Not expected this type of bugs and issues from Apple. We spend so much bucks on buying these iPhones and they can't provide us satisfactory services.
