When I burn a CD, including text, on iTunes 12 the track names appear on the CD. When I put the same CD in another Mac with an earlier version of iTunes the track names appear as Track 1, Track 2 etc. This is infuriating. What's the cause and how do I prevent it?

Actually they do not appear on the CD. iTunes is able to display them because it "remembers" the CD:
