Q: Macbook Pro model A1226 - No display

I still hear the startup ding, but i can't seem to get it to display on it's own or external monitors. I tried the command+option+p+r thing already and it didn't seem to make a difference. I don't know what OS it is, I'm writing this up for a project manager I'm working with. I would imagine the latest for the model. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello Patman,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

From what I gather, you can hear the MacBook Pro start up, but there’s no video on the notebook’s display. The article linked below provides a lot of great information and troubleshooting suggestions that’ll resolve most issues like the one that you’ve described.
