I am creating a fcpx title project in Motion 5.2.1. I can see the template with the correct thumbnail, but I can't use the template in fcpx 10.1.3
Any help would be appreciated.

Silly me... I didn't see any updates for FCPx in the app store and I assumed that meant I had the latest version.
Lo and behold there are issues with some updates from the app store (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203532)so I didn't have the latest version after all
I backed everything up, deleted and reinstalled and presto, the templates work again!
Lesson learned...
